Sterilization for Infection control is one of the important tasks in our practice. We use moist heat in the form of saturated steam under pressure methods, which is the most effective way to kill any bacterial spores or microorganisms. Steam sterilization is a non-toxic procedure. For your comfort and safety, our entire team at Thomas F. Vert, DDS follows procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
